Welcome to Phantom Carriage,
Please verify that you are over 21 years old to enter our website.
Ease into the relaxed ambiance of the Taproom, part speakeasy, part oak barrel aging cellar.
The dimly-lit, vast room is stacked with rack-upon-rack of hand selected wine and spirit barrels, each filled with liquid adventure. Our knowledgeable staff will guide you through a wide array of Wild and Sour cellared offerings, or our equally innovative variations on more familiar ales, lagers, pilsners and other popular styles.
After settling into the Taproom, it’s time to dive into the pairing process. We believe every Phantom Carriage beer was born to be paired with delightful artisan food. That’s why our brewing and culinary staff take great pride in helping you explore possible food pairings for each unique beer. Our ever-evolving menu of savory house-smoked meats and hand crafted sausages, tasty vegan fare and sweet treats, many prepared using our barrel aged ales, guarantee a new taste adventure always awaits you at Phantom Carriage.
Take it all in. Enjoy the friendly attentive service, load up on great beer and great food and retire to one of our reservable private spaces to watch a game, enjoy some entertainment with friends, or simply relax and ponder your good fortune!
Beer and Food Pairing is part of our ethos…so we focus on it, not just at special beer pairing events, but in the creation of the fare we serve daily in our taprooms with our great chefs and restaurant partners.
We age many of our beers in freshly emptied wine barrels to allow them to develop deep, seductively layered complexities that are similar to many great wines. They become more complex over time, developing incredibly unique and delightful flavors that stand alone, and pair exceptionally well with fine food.
That’s why we recommend buying several of each, and cellaring some bottles to open in 6 months, a year, or even longer. See for yourself how they change, evolve and improve for years to come.
This club is not about “ultra-exclusive” releases and bragging rights. It’s a way to support our wicked little nano-brewery while enjoying PhanClub gear, merchandise, discounts and exclusive access to all of our limited bottle releases.
The PhanClub is a fun throwback homage to the “fan clubs” of days past and all the things we love without forgetting the main source that brought us here... experimental, farmhouse-inspired craft beer.

“Unlike other brewery tasting rooms with sparse decor and little style, Phantom Carriage drips with atmosphere… The 7,000-square-foot location houses a tasting room, a small-batch brewhouse and a screening room…Also, and most importantly, on premises: over 500 oak barrels previously used by wine and spirit producers. It’s the barrels that set Phantom Carriage apart, as the brewery will focus on wild, wood-aged, and sour beers.”
“Each beer is carefully crafted on-site in a process which showcases an array of flavor spectrums, ranging from lambic-veering sweeter sours to guezues and beyond. Beer flights are a common choice to sample the different unique brews, and you’ll want to catch some of their several sour offerings on tap. Additionally, there are some available to take home in cans, which are all named in reference to – you guessed it – classic horror films.”
“The concept of a café and tasting room is inspired, making Phantom Carriage into a real evening destination. Popular offerings include the tart, golden, sour Cushing ale and the Rathbone which is dark, fruity, aged in oak, and richly sour. The kitchen features small plate, fresh, farm-to-table gastro-pub type fare…and likewise adds to a lingering stay.”
“There’s no other brewery experience quite like enjoying a sour in Phantom Carriage taproom. Walls of wine barrels line the taproom signifying a focus on farmhouse, wild ale barrel-aged beers as well as their notable sours. Phantom Carriage also offers an eclectic draft and bottle/can list from fellow brothers in brew.”
